Judo, meaning “gentle way” is a modern martial art and combat sport created in Japan in 1882 by Kano Jigoro. Judo is a great method of becoming both mentally and physically fit.  Since it emphasizes physical and mental development, its influence extends to every area of a person’s life.  Its physical benefits include improved flexibility, coordination, balance and reflexes.  Mentally, it promotes concentration, self-confidence and leadership.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Mananthavady got the overall championship in Waynad district Judo competition held recently here.   A photo session for the winners with the Principal, PET and senior teachers was also organised.
