A few banana saplings were planted around the garden of our Amrita Vidyalayam. Sri Aneesh, District Seed Co-ordinator, shared fascinating information about the banana plant with the students and explained the importance and use of the plant. Aleena P. Biju who received the “Gem of Seed” award from Matruvani for the year 2014-15, planted the first sapling.
